Re: What are you playing?
I'm currently playing Xcom: enemy within: long war mod when time permits. It's pretty much to Xcom what brave new world was to Civ5. It makes it a decent game to play, that is still unfortunately plagued by a lot of the poor design decisions of the base.

Re: CLANDESTINE
Because we need more time to finish the storyline missions (early access only contains challenge maps, so there will be no spoilers), and time is money. Not even the first mission or tutorial? This seems like maybe a mistake since just including the first mission allows for sum demo-type hype and s...

Re: CLANDESTINE
The game should be going up for early access in a couple of weeks. We really need good early access sales, so if you're suitably excited about it, please do pick it up. It comes with a discount and everything. May I ask why you need good sales? I like picking things up at a discount, so count me in...

Re: REFLEX - a new, fast-paced arena FPS
I bet the devs of this are really happy with the recent quake live shenanigans. But yeah, this is not my style, I think I'll stick to toxikk for my next gen fps multiplayer fix. This makes me wonder if in the future people will debate the merits of toxikk vs reflex in a way similar to how they used ...

Re: Question: Is there such a thing as superfluous wealth?
And again, not only is the capital not liquid, it doesn't even exist outside of numbers in a computer. If they DID pull out all the stops to liquidate all their assets, chances are they would find they couldn't, because there just isn't enough liquid capital to realise that wealth. As long as it st...

Re: GMDX (update: v6 released)
Okay...I think I have an idea of what's been causing the "silent run and do nothing" thing in running from the shortcut...could someone who's having that issue try this in their Deus Ex\System and let me know if GMDX will run from the shortcut after replacing this file? Thanks. Tried it, didn't wor...

Re: GMDX (update: v6 released)
I'm not sure if this was the case in regular deus ex or if its because of gmdx, but when I shot a rocket at the security bot it also asploded the chest in the little building outside(or the lid was never there. hard to tell). I'm surprised you would remove the sniper from the map, but keep the assau...

Re: GMDX (update: v6 released)
I would, but now when I try I don't even get an error message, it just silently crashes. Will see if I can reproduce it later.Cybernetic pig wrote:
Mind posting the error so ggrotz can figure out how to fix it?

Re: GMDX (update: v6 released)
That's your error ;) Load the game via the desktop start menu or the optional shortcut that the installer asked if you wanted to install. Hmm, fair enough. I thought I could use kenties exe with it though? I just tried loading via menu shortcut, got an error that said it could not into dx.dx or som...

Re: GMDX (update: v6 released)
Would you mind letting me know when you are set up so I can send you some updates? Right, I got everything set up I think. Already spotted an error ;) http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/3246282410607082207/5FA2614B5F3D7027A86A09C53E0B8C992AEFB677/ There were 2 crates here, but one of them was empt...

Re: GMDX (update: v6 released)
Still looking for playtesters, this is a fucking joke. I'm downloading v6 now, together with latest hdtp beta I could find and new vision. I have no idea where my previous deus ex install went. Swallowed by the warp, looks like. Does this stuff work with steam deus ex or should I use cd version? St...

Re: GMDX (update: v6 released)
Too many of you are too far gone to convince otherwise. Dude, you realize you're arguing with 2 people(and maybe now me as well), and one of them basically agrees with you, right? Personally, I don't mind save scumming being possible, but I'm sort of torn. On the one hand, player choice needs to ha...
