Re: HDTP beta
That will be a tall order without any GPU. I personally tried playing with New Vision on a similar system and it causes low framerates. You won't have a chance with the ENB series; a system like that simply can't handle bump-mapping or bloom of any kind. Yeah. Maybe you can get away by disabling bu...

Re: HDTP beta
Thank you for your hard work and this awesome mod. I just installed it and will be testing it. Many thanks for adding the option to turn on/off the character models. Aside from the masked troops, I can only get used to Gunther and Nicolette. It would be nice if there was an option to use the old hea...

Re: Playing Deus Ex for the First Time
Let's not forget Ultima Underworld (1992) , one of the first games Warren Spector worked on, which also inspired him somewhat to create deus ex. ( check his first proposal to Origin back in 1994 ). Ultima Underworld was 3D (before wolfenstein 3D) and had almost seamless open world structure. (althou...

Sometimes the slip of the tongue --or in this case keyboard-- reveals strange and unexpected truthsMy guess is that no-one has not been doing much work on this project for months

Re: Update status??
According to a user on Moddb, he claims that's Metche says there are only 9 more textures needing animating Yes, here: http://offtopicproductions.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=10418&start=0 Well, since that was a couple of months ago I think we can safely assume that we're at 8 textures by now... :P

Re: Need help
My main fear about HDTP is that it could make significant changes on character looks. Even though Gunther's model is nicely done, it felt like it was much too different from the original.

Re: The Latest - State of the project
I agree with you Jonas, but it's also probably a matter of us gamers getting older. Lately it's more common for me to dump a new game mid-way and start a replay of DX, than actually finish it. And then I got to bitch about it, because it's also a matter of new games being consolized dumbed down crap...

Oh, Jonas got the shock treatment when discussing TNM there, but most of the posters were pretty positive. It's a matter of getting used to the Anarchy.

Re: The Latest - State of the project
Let's stay off topic. Really old games are even better :) What I enjoy most is discovering old forgotten gems that are actually awesome games. I've made some "Let's Play" for anyone who wants to check them out: Call Of Chtulhu : Shadow Of The Comet. (Tentacle action guaranteed) / Strife. (Badassery ...

Re: New Vision Beta - Bug Reports
As I recall there are infolink messages (Damn you, Jonas. I almost said PMs) that tell you which bunker you are approaching, which do they indicate is correct? IIRC the infolink message just said "the mj12 bunker" and "the silhouette bunker". Anyway, it seems to me that the easiest thing to do woul...
