Re: How TNM was born?
As I work for what many would consider an instance of SoullessMegaCorp in real life, I'd like to confirm what Chris says: That is how things tend to work. I got in through an acquisition. Local department isn't all that bad, so I've stuck around for now. I do not expect this situation to persist ind...

Re: Patch 1.0.4 requests
How does TNM do this with the cloak/glasses? Does it have a model/skin for each permutation, or is it something more intelligent? And is this a system that could be modified to be triggerable ingame?

Re: Virtual Graphics Card? 3d Analyze?
Compare it to this. You all probably know flower bulbs. After they've been removed from the ground, the bottom bit with the roots on needs to be removed ('peeling'). This used to be a manual action, and a trained person is quite fast at this (a cubic meter per hour, I think). Nowadays, they've got m...

Re: Anyone playing Dragon Age: Origins?
I've got 1GB. Why? Because I am forced to get a wired laptop connection (max. 300 kb/s) because the fucking construction company forgot to add proper cables to this building (ha, and I can't move anywhere else). And that's 2009 The Netherlands *sobs*. Also, they have been promising to fix it since ...

Re: Rex and Jaedar finally manage to be too off topic for OTP
Been reading the wikipedia article on mercury a bit. It states it has a very eccentric orbit, with the furthest point from the sun being about 40% further than the closest point. Since gravity has a speed, presumably it is also subject to Doppler effects, and an object in the same place will feel di...

Re: The New Bible
It's probably worth skipping ahead to the gospels. Otherwise, you may want to skip leviticus and numbers and resume at deuteronomium or joshua. Many of the important rules are re-iterated shorter in deuteronomium, and from joshua on it gets much more story-like and readable.

Q:What if husband or wife have hiv? A:The other one must take risk. !!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay that's just plain dangerous. Official complaint time, I think. I don't have any links offhand, but I recall a legal ruling in .nl saying that if someone knows they have HIV or similar and have unprotected sex, th...

Stupid is the person who came up with that name. Imagine dropping that bomb in a conversation: Noone came up with the name, someone came up with the rules for naming organic chemicals and then you follow those rules. So for large atoms, you get large names. It isn't stupid, it's informative : if yo...

What numbers? I know Germans use 7 to 1, 1 being best. French use 1 to 20, 20 being best. Dutch use 1 to 10, 10 being best. What do Danes use?Jonas wrote:Numbers.

Somebody needs to do a handy-man playthrough of Deus Ex, where you only use the screwdriver, the hammer, and the wrench ;) I might try this at some point :) Can I use augs? Only those a handy-man would take. So microfibral muscle over combat strength, etc. Hm, that's actually the only one I can thi...
