Re: Thank you very much and two questions
Perhaps intent was the wrong word to use. "How developers made it" would be more accurate. But I agree that graphical quality mods are better when they stick with the intent of the designers - I think/hope New Vision does this more or less. But personally, I prefer playing with the original graphic...

Re: What are you playing?
I've been playing Borderlands this weekend. It's free on Steam for the next 11 hours guys. ;) I'm considering buying it (£4.99 I think it is at the moment) because it's actually a lot of fun. I may also pre-order Borderlands 2 because of it. boarderlands is best with mates and beers (LAN style), it...

Re: Thank you very much and two questions
Sorry for a late reply, but I just saw this. I prefer to play with new vision but not HDTP, it replaces too much of the artwork and, in my mind, interferes with me enjoying the story. If you were considering putting them together, please leave the option to install one but not the other. We're not,...

Re: What are you playing?
first a screenshot has way less compression then youtube, there is a lot of detail lost in the YT vids. heres something a bit better in terms of effort, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hx_VFtjn9Uo&hd=1 you loose a lot in the youtube encode so i put the source up on my FTP server (200mb) ftp://static...

isn't it obvious, there are lots of drab and tired looking kitchens in Deus Ex and they are offering to help out for HDKP

Re: What are you playing?
ok here are 3 youtube vids. compression hurts it a fair bit and i seem a bit hyperactive......lol first is default oblivion using HDR rendering. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2xhY2PrbMQ&hd=1 the second is OBGEv3 with no additional shaders loaded only replacements using linear HDR http://www.youtu...

Re: What are you playing?
do you want it with new art assets ( my main oblivion modded game sits at about 20gig) or just OBGE? i'll just stick to just OBGE that way its a direct comparison

WINRAR
that amount that you want HDTP is directly proportional to your daily post count right
we had a very odd fog here today but it was gone by about 11am and then it was a great winters day.

Re: What are you playing?
Aside from the fact they're two different games (why do you have to play one and not the other?) - the OBGEv3 renderer most likely does not exceed the Skyrim renderer and even if it does the output won't look any better. You can throw as many pixel shaders at Oblivion's art content as you like, it ...

Re: What are you playing?
DOF is optional and completely tweak-able. I run 3 17inch 5:4 LCD's @ 3840X1024 rez and i have a really weak DOF so the majority of the center screen is in focus and only the side screens have DOF applied. i dont remember what the original oblivion game mechanics look like  edit: some of the re...

Re: What are you playing?
my main point was that OBGEv3 far exceeds the render engine in skyrim, skyrim game engine has more flexibility and better art but its main target was still a DX9 based 240MFLOP console GPU, not a DX11 3 TFLOP card like a 6970. but OBGE has physically correct SKY ( it changes colour based altitude et...
