Re: Project 2027 - News?
He told me to find a security terminal, which I did, but I can't find the login and password for it anywhere.

Could you describe what you didn't like about the other levels?

Re: Project 2027 - News?
I've progressed quite a bit into the mod, and now I'm stuck. How do I get inside Titan's room without any electronics skill or using four multitools? Apologies if this has been answered in the thread already.

Re: Deus Ex Revision is 2 days away
All I will say about the Steam only situation is that the developers should have anticipated a lot of anger ever since they agreed to the deal. Now if they were a bit more transparent and honest the situation could have been made less worse. Beyond that, I agree with whatever kdawg88 posted. There's...

Re: Deus Ex Revision is 2 days away
And shamefully, the low ratings and "mixed reception" will make other people potentially interested in playing DXREV think twice and those ratings will probably stain and influence their minds while playing it. For example, DXREV was featured on the website of the most prominent gaming magazine in ...

Re: WTF Deus Ex Rivision mod looks amazing
I've been hearing a lot of mixed opinions on this mod, and I'm largely very underwhelmed by the looks of the redone levels I'm seeing in the screenshots. As such I'm interested in other games these days, so pass.

Yeah sorry for that, it's just that I can't bear people being rude on someone who's mostly innocent and just misunderstood some things.

Re: HDTP scheduled for Archival on ModDB
Just so you know, TheUnbeholden and Blade_Sword are both legitimate administrators of ModDB. It's Blade_Sword who seems to do most of the admin work for Deus Ex mods. Honestly I was shocked to see people whom I thought were respectable pile up on an administrator merely because he was a bit too stri...

Re: So I'm making a mod
Also, is there a way I can get DXOgg? The version in TNM does not work with UnrealEd 2, and UnrealEd 1 doesn't play any music. Is there a UE2 compatible version available? Either that, or I'll just wait for Revision. :/ If the people who made The Nameless Mod got their version of DXOgg to run well ...

Re: Project 2027 - News?
It would have been nice to have seen a baton available for use. You get a baton early on. Just search the smuggler hideout at the Old Quarter carefully. Anyway, since we're on the topic of how to play 2027, how did others get through the Paris section without attracting a small group of MJ12 troops...

Re: Project 2027 - News?
Skills, weapon mods and aug systems were all simplified and unbalanced come to think of it. The perk system while nice doesn't make up for that. I do agree that all the systems were simplified more or less, but the reason behind it is probably because it's a small mod compared to most of the major ...

Re: Project 2027 - News?
Though I like 2027's immensity and how it pulls off the Paris and Moscow sections, I think I prefer Nihilium out of the two. Nihilium is far more polished, and I rather like the Hong Kong and Germany sections of that mod. I don't get how Nihilum is more polished than 2027. 2027 fixes many of the or...

Re: How to edit and successfully compile DeusExUI class?
Also you could try first with just rebuilding the package without changes. I did try this for both packages, and both don't compile well. First one outright fails to find textures, because it expects the textures to be arranged under different folders like "Textures/UI/xxx.pcx" whereas the WOTgreal...

Re: How to edit and successfully compile DeusExUI class?
Ok I think I will elaborate on what I want to do with the UI, and what error I get with recompiling DeusEx.u . I want to change a few parts of the UI, while retaining the rest from the game. I want to test this by extracting the UI package, changing the textures I want to change, and recompiling. Ho...

Re: How to edit and successfully compile DeusExUI class?
And if I make them a new package, how am I going to see the changes I made to the UI in game? Also how to recompile DeusEx.u? I made my changes and it compiles fine until a point where it asks me to overwrite a DeusExClasses.h file. If I choose yes, it gives an error and shuts down, and if I choose ...
