Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
"I removed the text" I still can see a bit poking out from underneath the layer. :P Do you think it would be good to add an page for old news posts for this and future posts? I could do so pretty easily. Probably best to only have one active news post at a time. I'll have to give it a little revamp ...

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
https://www.reddit.com/r/gmdx/ is looking sharp.
Newly transferred website changes look better. I think removing the "A Deus Ex Advancement Mod" text under the logo would give it a further cleaner look.

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
So I looked into the HDTP vending machine texture, and it looks like there's no identifiable lemon lime flavor (going off of color-coding alone) that could possibly be located next to an orange flavor. And it doesn't look like there was vanilla either. In fact, the HDTP tex is possibly an improveme...

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
Thanks for all your support and input guys, sincerely. And that goes for anyone who has made meaningful contributions over the course of 4.5 years of development. I still wish I had extensive artist support beyond the current contributions and a tech/engine genius backing the project with regular su...

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
Like I said, was thinking of ditching the website as it is sub-optimal and a misrepresentation of the quality of GMDX itself. But if you've invested money I'll definitely keep it and I/we'll work on making it better and more presentable. We'll do the transfer/first suggestion if that's the best. Tak...

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
Personally I get drops in specific areas on my toaster. But I'm talking two or three areas and not something I'd sacrifice for toasters. It's not just rendering though. Garbage collection constantly at work, multiple NPCs going over more involved state code, things being called every tick, Generally...

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
How are people's framerates with GMDX? Much of everything is more complex, so I need to be careful.

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
Yes. It's exclusive to hardcore mode and also ever so slightly refined. Now if there's something even slightly "hardcore" or pushes the player to a notable extent beyond vanilla it's bunged in hardcore or scales based on difficulty level. Heck, now even some explosive barrels appear or don't appear ...

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
Heh heh. Need a tramp/sewer rat mode add-on. Ideally it'd have NPC vocal reactions to a smelly player, considering this is Deus Ex. Not only for realism/NPC depth sake but also to communicate and confirm to the player what kind of reaction is happening at any given time. If we had the original voice...

Re: UnrealEd constantly crashing during package editing
The DeusExPlayer.uc seems complete as of now. What's the problem, it won't compile? What's the error?

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
The mod is ready for testing. All languages translated. Just waiting on Bird to finish the installer although he's been absent for 10 days or so now. Not good considering he was 95% done with it. I'll wait a little longer and use this time to over the game with a fine-tooth comb and see if there's a...

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
Both Karkians and Greasels do not react to sound disturbances. It's a double-edged sword as while they don't react to sound events around them (including footsteps right behind them) it also makes them unable to be manipulated by tossing items to distract them etc, the only exception being corpses w...

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
I was highlighting the playstyle correlation because making enemies immediately aggro would make the drone more of a combat tool. A tool that instantly aggros enemies is inherently anti-stealth, no? As for the Drone exploding alerting AI, it should. Going to check over the code now and make adjustme...
