Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
A glorious change-log! =D> -Enemies with blast radius-based weaponry may open fire even if the player is right in their face, if their health is critical. //consider removing this In my opinion, this should be removed. -Hitting the torso of the enemy now has a damage multiplier of 4. (vanilla = 2. ...

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
Yeah well, fucking ISP upload speeds made it take all darn day to upload the installer. Should have been announced yesterday evening but it ended up taking ~10 hours to upload. Oh, I forgot the changelog: While there's a lot of great new features, remember that the focus this time around is the enha...

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
Is there a possibility of you getting it on Steam? That would be huge. See: As much as I want GMDX to go down in history as an "official work", and as much as it and I deserve that, I'm not sure I can on principle. It's bad for mods to do so, Revision showed that. I'm relying on the fans (those tha...

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
there will only be a 10.0 if I can get serious development support/team members. So it's important the larger fanbase is aware of GMDX. Make sure you recommend it where relevant.

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
There may be a new partnership regarding weapon updates, this time with Clyzm. http://media.moddb.com/images/members/5/4066/4065574/profile/assaultrifle_conceptrender_v1_CO.png http://media.moddb.com/images/members/5/4066/4065574/profile/assaultshotgun_conceptrender_v1.png http://media.moddb.com/ima...

Up your production values people, GMDX deserves as much.

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
How to say this without upsetting one that devoted their free time to help me... I need installer work and iterations on demand, especially once testing begins. Bird evidently cannot provide that, given infrequent visits to OTP and an installer three months (!) in development. So while it is 95% com...

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
So I went ahead and begun coding an installer myself. I appreciate bird's efforts but fans are on my ass, and there's contributors waiting including myself, everything is riding on it being done. I'm almost done and I only began yesterday. If I knew it'd be this simple/fast I'd have done it myself w...

Re: Deus Ex seems to go back into the past
Or are you saying what you meant to write was " I personally don't consider Eidos Montreal's Deus Ex canon"? Pretty much yeah. Although of course that's what I meant, as I have no authority on the matter, or have the same authority as every other informed fan. Like I said though, the proof is in th...

Re: Deus Ex seems to go back into the past
Yeah, there is no regulatory body of canonical status (nor of quality, which is what gaming press is meant to do, but that's another subject). Best answer one can give is the proof is in the pudding, or that the general consensus of the fans decide. Invisible War fits the plot events, continuity, se...

Re: Deus Ex seems to go back into the past
Eidos Montreal's Deus Ex isn't canon. It's very disjointed from the events of Deus Ex, tosses away design principles that defined it, and none of the people involved with the development of the first games were involved with the latter. Deus Ex is an intellectual property that was inherited by Squar...

Re: How to display coronas in skybox
Hmm? Thought you were cast away for being too troublesome. Well, I'll answer this because I'm bored. I've never tried placing a corona in a skybox, but a solution that comes to mind is to spoof a corona. I'm guessing your attempts won't render because you're not in the same zone as it or because it ...
