Re: Conquistador Kickstarter is live

I played it for one hour or so. It looks amazing. It also seems like the kind of game I like to play. Out in the wild, at some point we were attacked by natives. I absolutely got my ass handed. I wasn't doing as well as I could've done perhaps, but I'm not sure how I could fight something like 10 na...

Re: Chinny's monthly Deus Ex newsletter

Cool overview. I'm really surprised how much modding is still going on, but it's difficult to keep track of things. This is a great way to do so.

He, that's some cool coincidence! It's a shame it's so useless though. But improved models may have some use some day.

Re: RPS coverage of Sexism, Misogyny

Okay so to try and steer this somewhat back on topic again. Do you think activists (both feminists and climate/green movement activists) actually hurt their causes, now the internet provides people with readily accessible information that point out logical flaws? Has the internet, with all its infor...

Re: Endgame

There is also that OUYA console. Valve's console will most likely make an impact, I forgot about that. OUYA is doing shit as of now, with not much to offer. And what it has, you can already play on your regular Android devices. And that "Valve console" is not actually made by Valve and, so far, it'...

Re: RPS coverage of Sexism, Misogyny

I haven't posted much on this forum, though I spent a few months around the release of TNM on the irc. So apologies if my input is not very wanted. I only just wandered here after several years, wondering how things have been. It also happens that I am a poster on one of those forums that you menti...

Re: Endgame

EA is not the future. EA has been making losses in many of the past few years. It is a dying breed. Excellent article by Cobbett, thanks Bobby. I genuinely think Kickstarter has the future, or at least games of "Kickstarter-type": larger than indie games made by enthusiasts in their attic, which can...

RPS coverage of Sexism, Misogyny

Hey all, I wanted to hear your opinion on some stuff that's been bothering me the last week. I am a daily Rock, Paper, Shotgun reader and I like their focus on PC gaming and generally interesting sidestuff. Last week however, there have been a few posts that both surprised and disturbed me. Most imp...

Oh EA, you never cease to amaze me... What a stupidly managed company that is.

Re: What are you playing?

Apparently it's not brilliant, if the reviews are to be believed (it's rather noisy). There are better alternatives. Some excellent coolers (quiet and good cooling) for a decent price (should be around the same as the Enermax) are the: -Cooler Master Hyper 412S ( available in the same shop for the ...

RealTemp probably isn't. I'd keep an eye on those temps if I were you. Does the CPU have a good cooler?

My GPU got to 68 but the CPU climbed to 80
Are you sure it's not the other way around? GPUs can handle heat better than CPUs. CPUs should not go beyond 80C whereas GPUs can easily handle 90C.
