I removed the ban because it'd been in effect for long enough to make a point. We'll see if Skrillax has improved during his time in exileCybernetic pig wrote:Hmm? Thought you were cast away for being too troublesome.

Re: Deus Ex franchise on Hiatus after Poor Sales
Seeing how Mankind Divided is only half a game, I am slightly upset to hear the second half will not be released any time soon.

Re: Let's Play Question
Yeah 1.0.5 is... basically just a disarranged collection of files on my computer. At this point it doesn't look like it'll ever happen. The sadness is that it was actually good to go on my end, but we tried to cram a bunch of HDTP stuff in there for easier compatibility, and that fucked up all sorts...

Re: GMDXv9.0 Announced
I tried to register to this Board with 2 different .de Mailaddys - I get no activation Mail from the Board. Also no reply from the Admin of Offtopicproduction. This is really weird! Ah sorry, I did get your email a while ago, but I was a bit hung up so I never got around to it. There's a general is...

Re: Level systems: Automated vs. Gated
What I would like to know is if there's any significant advantage with using the systemic XP system. While I do understand that the gated XP system can be hard to apply to open world games, it does offer distinct advantages in the sense of player progression being better defined and controlled. I g...

Re: Level systems: Automated vs. Gated
Manual XP versus systemic XP doesn't necessarily influence the difficulty of predicting the player's level of power - that's down to how open the game is. If your game is mostly linear like Deus Ex, you can pretty easily predict how much XP the player will have based on how far they've progressed; a...

Re: Level systems: Automated vs. Gated
Not really happy with the terms "automated" and "gated" - I don't think they really describe what's going on. I would suggest maybe calling it systemic XP and manual XP, since one way has XP built into the game systems (typically the combat system, but in Bethesda's case pretty much every game syste...

Re: Mortecha's Weapon Mod Discussion
From my understanding, the reason shotguns don't typically get outfitted with scopes is that the whole point of shotguns is you don't need precise aim, because the birdshot or buckshot goes out in a cone. Shotguns have a higher effective range than you'd think because they fire a bunch of projectile...

Re: Level systems: Automated vs. Gated
I'm calling him out in public to apply public pressure. So people, like admins, are aware of what's going on and people can say "look Dev_Anj, what you're doing is wrong. CP has asked you to stop multiple times so just keep your distance", but I guess you think the above is a trivial matter? Yes it...

Does the PM system not work anymore? I'm not sure I see the point in having this fight in public.

Re: Mortecha's Weapon Mod
If you let the player swap around weapon mods at will, you should probably reduce the amount of mods found throughout the game. And then you should probably place some other reward of roughly equal value in those places instead. Any character who sells you weapon mods will also be undercharging afte...

Re: If you created the ultimate video game, what would it be
I love Fallout: New Vegas. Pretty damn shonky game though!
I'm looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077. I actually played a few sessions in Cyberpunk 2020 in high school. Lot of potential there.
