Re: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Consoles are always a limitation when they're involved, but it's not the consoles that put graphcis above gameplay - it's the audience. Trust me, the feedback we've been getting on Clandestine makes it abundantly clear that people at large care about graphics much more than they care about anything...

Re: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
The maps were typically larger than in Deus Ex though. I'm not sure what gave you the opposite impression - probably that they weren't quite as open in their layout, so as better to facilitate streaming, which is obviously necessary because a personal computer couldn't even remotely handle an area ...

Re: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Just pretend it's an alternate timeline and enjoy the damn game on its own merits ;) You mean complain about the fact that it's a popamole shooter with a terribly designed xp system, and small, arena-based map design that even if you disregard all the fluff, still has very little actual relation to...

Did they?Jonas wrote: I think that trailer is pretty great for a non-gameplay video. They even show off a bunch of new gameplay features.
Some new augmentations sure, does that count as gameplay features?
Apparently Jensen is supposed to have a mix of mech and nanotech augs now. I don't think I like this.

Re: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
That weapon mod interface looks very Crysis. This was exactly my feeling. Being able to toggle between explosive and regular bullets doesn't seem like a big loss. Every applied weapon mod in DX is a permanent decision (as with all the RPG systems if course) and I like that. It may not be realistic,...

Re: Deus Ex Advancement Mod v7 Release
"Head decapitation" was probably the wrong choice of words. Their heads are outright destroyed. It is also a feature you can disable from the in-game options menu. I have no scheduled release for GMDX v8. Knowing me though it wont be too long. So 7.1 is being boosted into v8? Good to know. It being...

Re: Deus Ex Advancement Mod v7 Release
When are you releasing V7.1? Also about this decapitation. I must admit I find it of dubious value. People's heads flying off after being hit by shotgun just seems wrong to me. I could totally see it as an immersion feature when you hit people with bladed weapons, but as it looks in your latest vide...

Re: Deus Ex Advancement Mod v7 Release
Some way of getting extra explosives at master demolitions would be cool. I was considering suggesting simply doubling all pickups(but I'm not sure this works from a coding standpoint. How do you prevent the player from just dropping and picking the item back up to double it?). This same problem als...

Re: GMDX Advancement Mod v6.2 Release
I would say revision is synergistic with GMDX. Attention to one will invariably bring attention to the other.
I know I certainly started trying lots of other DX mods after playing TNM.

Re: MOTY 2013
GMDX is still being ignored by the gaming press and others within the industry. Oh well, I've got my MOTY award and consistently highly-praising reviews. There's always hope that next release they'll take notice of what I have done for Deus Ex anyway. True artists are so rarely appreciated before t...

The Deus Exes that never were
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014- ... ex-sequels
Reading this now, should be interesting.
Edit: It was, but not a lot to say about it except for the fact that dx3 sounds like it would have been really cool.

You really need to add a setting for mouse sensitivity btw, the current speed is much too low.
