Hey, I have been following TNM for around 2.5 years, and I decided to download the torrent and try it out just for fun a couple hours early. I am getting a consistent 20 kilobytes/s now...is this intentional? I dont want to accidentally download some rip-off version of TNM, not with the incredible talents of the Off-topic team so evident! Of course, if it is intentional, why not up the speed? The more people like me that download a few hours early, the more seeders there will be to support the inevitable stress at 9 tonight

Yeah I'm also downloading at floating 20/30 kBs, peer count is 41 and seeder count is 2! Are those two Jonas and Trestkon, one would ask?

I would guess so. They would likely choose between 10-15 kb per connection so that they could serve as many people as possible come release time...my desire (completely altruistic of course) is that they increase speed until the release time so that people who complete the download can seed all night long. Of course, whats a day or two when we have waited for so long? inconsequential.

We only have 4 seeds and quite a lot of people downloading. My client won't allow me to seed with more than approximately 200 kbps as my theoretical upstream is 2 mbps, I don't know how much speed Trestkon is giving. I just managed to get Gelo set up to seed too though and he says he's uploading with about 450-500 kbps, so that should help a bit.

Thats great! I would just ask to all 50%+ peers to unlimit their upload to help us poor podunkville 6% people. Its like a pyramid effect that works! (unconsciously drools)

Well I might be able to seed from 1am - 2 or 3am US Central Time (UTC -6), but at those times I am not sure I would be very helpful.
