Space Station Ambient
Ok guys, here's the ambient track and it's corresponding intro for the Space Station map.
Here's an .mp3 with a fade out after the loop.
...if no one has a change request or suggestion I'll continue with the combat, convo an death tracks.

Nice track and great themes. But I don't think it's hostile enough for a combat track.Sensei wrote:I finally finished the combat track for goat city. I must've tried to write one like 5 times, but it never worked. Enjoy: http://www.tnm.offtopicproductions.com/ ... Combat.ogg
How about some more aggressive drums or a mean synth?
Also an awesome track - but I don't think it fits well with the rest of the soundtrack. It needs some electronic touch - like all the other tracks.Trestkon wrote:http://www.sonicbrilliance.com/Spiral-Chaos.mp3
We've decided that we're probably going to use it for the Voodoo shop, instead, as it's a bit more suitable.
I don't think sci-fi when I listen to this.
Great! It would be nice if there was a theme though. But I like it.LeoBad wrote:Ok guys, here's the ambient track and it's corresponding intro for the Space Station map.

It has! the whole thing is based on the TNM main theme, the bass is playing a very slow punctuated version of it, and the different synths are either playing a specific sub-theme or contrapunctual melodies. I usually tend to present themes in a very obvious way, but I think for this particular track it adds to the ambient feel. Thanks for listening though, did you get some time to check it ingame?
No, I haven't checked it in game - but it's very DX like so I think it would fit perfect.
When I heard it the first time I kind of expected that it would evolve to some kind of grand theme....more than it is now - with a beat and stuff. Just a thought...It's not a big deal or anything...the track is great as it is now.
Nice bass sound btw

As I've already told you, I really love it. The synths are just very ambient and space-y in my opinion. I think it's a good thing the theme is subtle, otherwise people might think half our soundtrack is just the same file. It COULD be a bit more obvious, or perhaps just come a bit together in one section where people might go "aha! The theme", but I think it's well clear of our quality standards already, so I don't think you have to change anything about it. It's a great track.

A five minute long conversation track O_o?
was that the tune from the deus ex intro?
This sounds like it would make a really good ambient track as well, though I suppose the difference between an ambient and conversation track is pretty minimal.
The reverberation sound gives it a sort of underwater feel. See around 3:44 to see what I mean.

3:44...? The track is 3 minutes 20 seconds including intro. Am I missing something?
Oh, and that's our TNM theme that ends around 2:00

actually the loop track, which includes the intro at the end is only 3:06. You probably listened to the .mp3 whis is in fact five minutes long but has a repeated intro.that guy wrote:A five minute long conversation track O_o?
nope. It's the TNM main theme, it's also on the bass of the ambient track.that guy wrote:was that the tune from the deus ex intro?
Yes, if think it would. Convo tracks usually involve more movement (for me at least), but this one would serve that purpose too. The instrumentation is the same as the ambient track, so it would need to be a pretty similar map.that guy wrote:This sounds like it would make a really good ambient track as well, though I suppose the difference between an ambient and conversation track is pretty minimal.
Interesting.that guy wrote:The reverberation sound gives it a sort of underwater feel. See around 3:44 to see what I mean.
