The Sign Only Tells One Simply Messenger: No Firearms!~justanotherfan wrote:I'm good at translations. You can tell by the shape of the characters; it tells a story. I'll do a character-by-character translation:SnipaMasta wrote:
This is chapter three. There is a giant lizard with antlers, or a well-endowed moose. There is a house tilted with a flag on the roof. The lizard kicks the house. The lizard then punches the house. His fist goes through the house as it collapses. Then all is dark.
Hope that helps.
Im A Chinese, Since Lizards Are Categorized As Bugs In Chinese Language
It Should Be Like This: 蜥蜴 = Lizard
Now Look Closely To The Left Part Of The Two Characters
虫 = Now That Means Bugs
If You See This Word 虫 Cling To A Character
Than Its Mostly About Bugs
Thats Because The Japanese Uses Chinese Characters As Well...Mr_Cyberpunk wrote:Some how a Japanese speaking person decrypted my Neuromancer logo. Btw I used the altavista translator to make that. So yeah you should be able to use that, I mean it does translate Chinese.

Re: Chinese writing
Dave, A Chinese Would Surely Found The Signs In The Game AmusingDaveW wrote:I'm currently going through the HK_Signs package and I thought I'd better check out how they did the text. I sent a picture of the "No Firearms" sign to a Chinese friend of mine, and apparantly, it does actually mean what it's supposed to. Although I cropped the "No firearms" thing from the image:
[ DaveW ] says:
So is it just random letters?
D'Cruz says:
no
it does mean sumfin
but it seems like 1 of does idiom fings
where did u get it from
[ DaveW ] says:
It's from a game, it's a sign on a wall - possibly something about guns?
D'Cruz says:
yh
it has guns in it
nd den no sumfin as wel
[ DaveW ] says:
So, something like "No guns" ?
D'Cruz says:
probably
I'm just wondering if people actually care if we're accurate with this. So far I've just been searching for words that I think are like the sign and then copying certain symbols and scrambling them up, but it might be worth getting someone Chinese (with a chinese keyboard, that is) to do it. Does anyone have any ideas where we might be able to find someone to do this?

See? It's about giant lizard firearm bugs.
Thanks bushcrap2019 . Your name scares me though, that there might be a Jeb/Jenna/Barbra Bush in the American Presidency in 2019. I forget what New Vision needed to know about the Chinese characters.
Shame to hear about the inactivity of the Chinese DX community, but we certainly welcome you to the board as their representative.
Say... you wouldn't happen to have a microphone and some acting skills, would you? We happen to have a character who needs a good Asian accent.

If You Want, You Can Send Me The Script, I Would Record It On My Camera
Then Separate The Audio Track From The Video Track In Adobe Premiere
