New Stuff

Post by DaveW »

Might as well make a new topic for now. So, firstly, I've been messing around with filters and messed up the logo a bit:

That said, I took some screenshots just to test out applying it, and to show some of the progress I've been making. I'll post screenshots of some other stuff as soon as the scenes they're in look a bit more 'complete'.

It's as 3d as we can make it.

Not true Snipa. Give me 5 mins with it and I bet I could make it pop out. We already discussed this before on this very forum and I could show you how to fix the flatness. Or you could do it yourself since all it takes is a carefully placed gradient.

I doubt you can make it look any more 3d. You're welcome to try.

Snipa, could I possibly bribe you to make another version of that last wall texture without the light, and then send both to me? We're using it for a rather prominent level in TNM.

He doesn't own a real computer at the moment.

And I'm currently working through that package (CoreTexMisc).

That's not it, its the fact that Vista fucked up my 160GB partition and now I'm waiting till I get a 1GB hdd, the 500GB I bought was faulty and WD refunded me. So most likely I'll be getting a Segate.

That and my job is taking up too much of my time.

Seagate are good. My PC has one Seagate and one Samsung, and they've both served me well for a long time.

I did lose a 200 GB Seagate once though, that was very painful.

1gb? Aren't those hideously expensive?

Seagate Isn't all that great... but if you can get one that works without any problems then that's all that matters...

btw this hdd is it internal or external? because i didn't know you could get a 1TB internal drive...
