Hey Guys, thanks for your great work, the textures look great. Problem is, I want to play with nvidia 3D enabled, and DX10 makes the 3D laser site work only in 2D and there are also 2D light coronas which I can't seem to turn off.
Is there a way to get your textures working in dx9, as when I run a DX9 renderer it runs the game with standard textures. Replacing the standard textures completly with yours doesn't change the result.
Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

Mind explaining what you mean by this? In particular, what do you mean by "3D laser sight works only in 2D"?Foreverseeking wrote:DX10 makes the 3D laser site work only in 2D and there are also 2D light coronas which I can't seem to turn off.

Go into your DeusEx.ini and scroll to the section [D3D9Drv.D3D9RenderDevice]. Make sure you find "UseS3TC=" and then set that to True. Should take care of things. While you are there you can modify a whole other lot of settings as well.

Re: New Vision running on DX9?
Cheers for your help Bjorn, I think this was likely what got it going. Please find the .ini info underneath for anyone wanting to play this amazing game in 3D. It is litteralluy stunning! Also New Vision really helps to add a layer of polish to a rather ugly (though amazing) game.bjorn98009_91 wrote:Go into your DeusEx.ini and scroll to the section [D3D9Drv.D3D9RenderDevice]. 1 - Install new vision 1.5 with Kentie renderer.
2 - Download a dx9 renderer and pop that in the Deus ex stsyem folder.
3 - Copy and paste these settings to the deus ex .ini found in C:\Users\xxx\Documents\Deus Ex\System\deusex.ini

4: Run game, in data directories select both New Vision mods.
5: Configure game: Select non scaling GUI, select DX9 render. (if you have problems later with voice skips or music glitches set Audio Latency to 60 or higher)
6: Run game, turn 3d laser sites on and enjoy some seriously good 3D Hi Res Deus Ex action.
How to know if it works:
Training level: Has bricks instead of blank walls
Opening Level: You can clearly see wood grain and lighting doesn't have 2D coronas.
