Re: The Latest - State of the project
Man, JAF will be so disappointed when we reveal Project Hyperion to be a generic Bejewelled clone. For Facebook.

Re: The Latest - State of the project
Yes. I'm glad to announce that Off Topic Productions will be renamed to Little Too Long. That's right, Little Too Long Productions, coming soon to a multiverse instance near a you. I think my sources at Little Too Long Productions are more reliable than a nameless mod poker manager. They're still telling me Project Hyperion is a dynamic scalable modular 2D puzzle game online. The project name is a reference to pH, the acidity or basicity measurement of a solution, as Project Hyperion itself is a solution for measurement. As you play, games oxidize and saponify you with delight, making PH a reference point from which to measure other gaming solutions. Since alcohol has a neutral pH of 7, ethanol hand sanitizer is helpful in neutralizing Project Hyperion.

While ingesting alcohol will not only neutralise Project Hyperion, it also neutralises everything in a hundred meter radius.

Re: The Latest - State of the project
Warning: do not ingest hand sanitizer or Project Hyperion. Alcohol may neutralize Off Topic Productions occasionally. Do not play Project Hyperion while playing in hand sanitizer as bejewels may dissolve in alcohol. If sanitizer catches fire, neutralize with baking soda and consult a fishisin. If your fish is out, board ark and go fishing. If you are Scandinavian, open your freezer.

How would you order hand sanitiser as a drink? "Give me a couple of fingers of the good stuff"?

Re: The Latest - State of the project
Sure thing!
The latest news is that PJ will incorporate a new kind of bio mod. Basically, when enabled, it will change how the main character sees. Think of it like prescription glasses -- areas become more clear with higher contrast, as if your vision is augmented in a new way. The problem is that this vastly increases complexity in the game, needing more detail, which takes time. Fortunately, it's completely unnecessary; it only affects how much people enjoy the game.

Re: The Latest - State of the project
Hmm, doesn't look like it. I'll update you on Project Hyperion. Here is the main screen, Map Screen, Main Character, and here is the computer terminal hacking subgame. Following a focus group with RPG players, the main character is now a medieval warrior princess zapped into the future in order to use technology. While you are in orbit of orange Saturn, you must fight while maintaining your health and exploring the space castle, particularly under its monastery. If you have any questions about PJ, this google search appears to yield extremely accurate results- http://www.google.ca/search?q=project+hyperion+tnm
