Let's play a game:

How many film references can you identify in Deus Ex Incarnate?

Go!

I'll start with the obvious.

The Matrix (lobby scene)

EDIT: Oh, and Indiana Jones for the firestaff part?

Independence Day/Zodiac? :P

Many heist movies for the alarm trapped Aug?

"No more talk." or the ZP confrontation in general seemed like something from a movie...

The room with the fire staff seemed very Starwarsy, or some other Sci-fi.... Specifically the lights.

Correct.

Haven't seen it. Take that as a no :P

Independence Day is the correct answer for the first part of the Moderator Control Room area, yes.

You're on to something with Star Wars, but Gwog's office (which it is) was modelled after a very specific set in a specific Star Wars film - give me the film for extra points and the exact location for ultimate respect.

I should have been more clear by the way: This is exclusively about the level design. The DXI mission (mostly the moderator control level) is crammed full of film references in the form of rooms that were built to look like specific film sets. You've identified two of them, and sort of a third, but that's only just about half of them.

That's four!

I would've thought that one was obvious but I guess not! Anyway, point for John :)
