What's up with this blue rat running around near Evil Invasion's desk in PDX?

Every time I stop by that room I try some random things with the rat trying to figure out if it's supposed to do anything. Is there some kind of in-game secret that has something to do with this rat?

Is it some kind of robot rat camera being used by Scara to spy on PDX?

Did Jonas find this rat and decide to nano-augment and set it loose in the offices it just to show that he could?
("Behold, my latest brilliant creation! Invincible Nano-augmented Super Rats!" :twisted: )

Is it some kind of mutant rat created from too much exposure to Ghand's gibberish?


I'm getting the itchy feeling that I must have missed something.

Forgot whether it was an e-mail or datapad but it's explained in the DXO hideout.
