 Trestkon: Bomb Throwing Anarchist
Having won the game multiple times, I decided it was time to start a "special mission" game.
I would start up, join World Corp, rob as many places as possible to earn money, and then "reform" into an anarchist and use all of the money to buy explosives to destroy all PDX forces in the three districts (first before the WC uprising, then after). Once done, I would follow it up by wiping out the WC forces as well. Furthermore, I would destroy both cults for the added challenge.
At first, things went swimmingly. Money began rolling in once I maxed out my computer skills and hacked most of the ATMs, and my robberies were mostly profitable. The fight in the server complex, due to my lack of medkits, ended with Trest coming out with a broken leg, with the other leg being almost broken, the arms being nearly broken as well (though the right arm was at around 50 hp) and the torso at 7 hp.
This is when a minor problem popped up. Initially I was planning on going to Goat City without telling the Llamas and sneakily assassinating the Goats and robbing their city individually. However, the 2000 credit reward for exposing their location was music to my ears, so I told Abomination where the Goat City was. Then, just to make sure he didn't think I was actually a Llama, I chopped him up with the Dragon Tooth sword and left.
The fight through the Goat city was a pain (if only because they are absurdly accurate throwers of those foons and, again, I had no medkits or regen aug) because they attacked me the instant I popped up. After crawling back to WC for health after the bloody attack on the server complex, I left. I was then received a private message from the ghost of Abomination! I feared that Lamar had revived him and considered going to hide inside the WC building, but the ghost was seemingly forgiving as was telling me that Beefman had a job for me. Apparently Beefman didn't care that I had brutally murdered his door guard with a large sword right on the front porch.
So I went to the Llama temple, but some prick with a shotgun informed me that I wasn't welcome. I figured that Beefman wouldn't let this guy try to shoot me, but as I approached he tried his luck. Not a very smart move, as I easily stabbed him in the face with the Dragon Tooth. I then noticed another Llama, but she didn't seem to care that I had just murdered a fellow cultist right around the corner. Taking no chances, I stabbed her in the back and then gibbed the body with the sword just to be safe.
I then entered the temple and discovered that the Llamas still liked me, totally okay with the fact that I had decorated their temple with the blood of the guards out front. I then realized that murdering the Llamas in close quarters is, in fact, MUCH more entertaining that roaming the Goat City and killing lone goats who slowly drain my health with foons. Especially with slow motion, corners, and a Dragon Tooth. I tried the following betrayals:
-Frontal assault. The instant I entered, I thanked the Llamas for letting me in the temple by killing the two chumps standing out front. The Llamas, apparently surprised that I would kill them after having killed their best soldier outside the temple, began yelling proclamations and threats. Because I always play with the enemy settings to "horde", there were a helluva lotta Llamas, and they never faltered in their suicidal charge. I actually laughed a little at their stupidity. They had sharpened plastic utensils: I had a sword capable of smashing through doors and destroying security bots. They had no armor: I had several augmentations and the ability to go into slow motion. I kinda wondered why they wanted to charge me in a battle they could never win when they had enough guns/ranged sporks to inflict way more pain by taking cover and shooting instead of charging. I had no decent counter to that except mindlessly chucking explosives and trying to use Trest's pistols (which I can never seem to use well because of the recoil and inaccuracy). Anyway, after killing enough Llamas to create a large, brown rug for the temple I charged up, explosiv'd the turrets and chopped up Beefman in no time flat (in contrast to Athena, who is absurdly hard to kill without lots of cloaking, though she doesn't require explosives to beat fortunately enough). Then, I charged downstairs and killed ANOTHER small army of Llamas who were too busy chilling in their chairs to bother rescuing their leader, apparently not having heard the screaming, slashing and explosions upstairs (though a couple nearer to the door had apparently charged upstairs and been members of the gang that was sliced up before I reached the turrets).
-Turret changing. This time, I decided to do away with the simplistic attack from the front and went into Beefman's room to hijack the turret to mow down reinforcements. I then killed the guard which resulted in a horde of Llamas attempting to charge through the narrow hallway to get at me. I observed one particularly clever Llama charging straight past me with a sniper rifle. In close quarters. The result was more or less the same, except I heard turret shots in the background. Also, the two people at the front of the temple were still friendly despite the massacre. I don't see how they could have not heard it, but I guess they just didn't care.
-King of the Hill. I killed Beefman before he could activate those turrets, followed by his two personal guards. I then stood around on that throne and killed all the Llamas who tried to steal my new rank as high priest.
Anyway, is there a way to remove the mission to seek out Beefman for a quest? Even when I show him in the strongest terms that I don't want to work with him (specifically, with explosives behind his chair) the job doesn't disappear. Also, any ideas for more mayhem to seek?
