Turning on the generator

Since no one else seems to be stuck here, I'll assume it's a case of me being an idiot.

However, I'm completely stumped as to how to turn on that bloody generator that will allow me to take the elevator down to the server bits.

I've been everywhere I can, I'm sure of it. No one in Goat City has much of anything to say... Any help, pretty please?

Use the key MIB gave you to unlock the locked doors at the other side of the generator. Then take the elevator up to the maintenance area immediately above it. Be sure to read the datacube on the storage shelf right outside upper door of the elevator.
