What's with the city in the intro?

It looks impressive, but I am at ABI, based on the fact that the space station is the last level, and the fact that I am trying too find a shuttle to the place, it's the penultimate. Is that one of the things that got lost as the mod went on?

It was one of the early versions of the Corporate District map, but in spite of how fancy it looked, it had terribly uninteresting gameplay. So we axed it. Then later on, we decided to use it for a menu map because it looked cool.
