Killing the N00bz successful?

Well, I got this quest, but didn't want to kill these guys. I just had to kill their leader because he attacked me when I entered the Kraut Kastle.
After travelling to the Corp section and back, the n00bz were dead, and I got the quest reward when talking to an agent.
Travelled back to Corp, I got a PM from Phasmatis, congratulating on me and telling me that King K was impressed by what I've done.

Strange, isn't it?
Have I done something what the game didn't expect and broke it?

What happened, I think, is that the goal didn't close properly when you left. A variation on this was happening before.

I remember now that I hadn't installed the patch initially, only after playing for some time in the downtown area.
So I now suspect this may have caused the glitch, appearing in the same area where I continued after installing the patch.
No other quest related problems encountered yet.
