Instalation problems

Can someone give me a step by step guide to installing this. I've tried it multiple times, and ti still just runs the original game, and not the mod.

Once you've installed, make sure you run it from the shortcut it places on your desktop or in the start menu. If you run it from the .exe in the it won't work.

It didn't create a new shortcut. That's the problem. It appears that it didn't really do anything.

Okay you have downloaded the 980 odd megabyte exe or installed from a disc. Either way you should have a file titled The Nameless Mod exe. You click on that and follow the instructions. Did you run Deus Ex before trying to play TNM or haven't you been able to get that far?

What file did you download and where from?

Are you saying it literally did nothing? Does the installer run? Did the installer properly detect your Deus Ex installation directory? If not, did you change it to the correct directory? Did it put a TNM folder in your Deus Ex directory?

Answer those, and we'll continue the process :p

Never mind, I figured it out. I apparently downloaded the Patch file instead of the actual mod.

No problems, I suggest the ModDB site as the TNM download there is patched to 1.04. Hang on a sec and I'll get you a link.

Download Basic -> Download patch ->Deleted short cut ->Make new short cut -> Play

Basic = The normal download (Biggest)
Patch (Up to date patch)

Well, bobby's link is the easiest if you just want to install TNM.

If however you want the goodies go with the ISO, and then you still need the 1.0.4 patch.

In both cases you can also get the 1.0.4+ fanpatch to resolve some more issues [/Shamless self-promoting] .
