deus ex will not update

-edit- Fixed. I reinstalled, until the uninstall file worked, and uninstalled deus ex, and then reinstalled it, and the updater was able to find it.

So I deleted and reinstalled everything, but when I went to install TNM, it prompts me to install the latest deus ex patch. I do this, but it claims Deus Ex is not in the C:\DeusEx directory when it is (I don't have/use the Steam version). Any ideas why this is happening?

Sounds like a registry irregularity. The most important question right now is: is it preventing you from actually installing the game? Will it not let you progress any further? Have you tried just ignoring the error message and continuing with the install?

Actually it does continue with the install, but when i try to load TNM i get:

Critical Error:

Can't find Function in file 'FunctionDeusEx.DeusExWeapon.PreBeginPlay'

History: UObject::SafeLoadError <- UObject::StaticLoadClass <- etc

I did play Deus Ex before I installed TNM, but I also installed the SDK 2 thing found on the editors forum.

Deus Ex is not the updated version, its v1.109 from the GOTY disc. It isn't your install either, when I tried the patch downloaded from a general site, it reports the same issue.

-edit- yeah it must be this registry error thing. i had problem uninstalling everything, so i tried manually deleting the folder. Any solutions to this?

Uh your situation sounds a bit confusing. At this point I would just uninstall/delete everything and then reinstall Deus Ex and TNM from scratch (without installing any other mods first).
