 Targeting augmentation problem?
After running into this issue the first time, I uninstalled everything and quit for a few days. Now I'm back and have reinstalled, patched, etc.. And have tried this once more to see if maybe the problem would fix itself.
During training, when you're suppose to use the targeting augmentation on Phasmatis, it appears as if the text that shows his augmentations, health, etc.. isn't working correctly. It'll show up for a split second and then disappear as soon as the image of your 'target' appears. If I switch the augmentation on and off really quickly, I can read it, but I'm sure that's not what was intended.
Has anyone else had this problem? I used the search function, but to no avail.

 Re: Targeting augmentation problem?
The solution to this problem is in the trouble-shooting section of the PDF manual. I'd just tell you what to do but I don't have easy access to the PDF manual at the moment. It's a very easy fix

 Re: Targeting augmentation problem?
There's a PDF? I guess it helps to open up ISO's every now and then! Thanks a lot. The problem was quite easy to fix, and now everything is working as it should. (Seems that way, anyways, for now!)
To help anyone else who might have this problem, you can look at the PDF file located inside of the TNM ISO, but I'll also reiterate what I did below.
Open TNM.ini (the configuration settings file located in the system folder, along with all of the other Deus Ex config files) and under
[OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice]
look for a line that says
SceneNodeHack=False
Change that to
SceneNodeHack=True
And you're all set! You may have to edit this setting in the advanced preferences box in game like I did. If the issue isn't fixed, then just press T, delete say and type 'preferences' without the quotes. Press enter, and then just find the related setting under Renderer->OpenGL
There you go! And here I go, off to play a very promising looking mod. Again, thanks for the help. I feel bad for not having figured it out myself, but oh well. lol
