Ah good idea, will have to give that a go!

-Edit-
Yep worked like a Charm, seems to be an error (The only error so far!) with the latest dxogg fix.

I'm copying Blank.ogg to Blank.ogg.ogg for the time being instead, and keeping the latest dxogg.dll, so eventually we'll see if that crashes or not too. I don't know how far in the future the space station is though - I just picked up the firestaff.

Don't rename or do anything with any of the oggs, that's an old mis-type on the error messages from a really long time ago, which I fixed only just now. The double-backslash thing is also my fault, but windows apparently ignores any multiple backslashes as though they were just one, so technically although it worked fine it managed to evade me for that reason the whole time. It's embarrassing to admit.

One thing of note - there was a guy who had the ogg files open in his media player for whatever reason and it prevented the game from loading them and caused this error. I changed it just now so that it doesn't cause an error message anymore but rather just won't play the song and leaves a warning in the log. Probably the way it should have been in the first place. The only time it should generate this specific error message if it really is not a valid ogg vorbis file.

Regardless, I'm pretty sure you guys are getting this because of a different slight mis-hap on my part in the JimSucks version by something I coded slightly wrong when updating to the latest version of ogg vorbis for the player ('slightly' meaning worked fine in most cases so able to evade my notice at first, again - ugh). For those of you getting this message, "not a valid ogg vorbis file", try this new JonasIsEvil version instead and see how it goes.

As for the what's left of the CTD crashes, although the last version seemed to fix most CTDs for the most part, I'm still looking into getting any remaining fixed, if they are indeed actually caused by dxogg. It's a slight pain to debug for multiple reasons, but especially when I'm having a hard time replicating them myself.

Any word on a new version which doesn't have the blank.ogg bug(I know a rollback works)?

I'll try this one out as well.

I've been getting quite a couple DXOgg.dll crashes. (Getting a lot more Core.dll crashes though.) Most of them seem to occur if I quickload before the death music kicks in.

Do not overwrite the DXogg.dll in patch 1.0.1 with a dll from this thread. The patch version is the latest version.

I just fixed the blank.ogg crash that people have been reporting. Partly my fault on that due to some code I changed along with the updated version of ogg vorbis I use in the new version. My apologies for this little mis-hap.

I just had dxogg cause TNM to crash, with the version included with 1.0.1. I was in DXE, no blank.ogg message or anything. :(
