That'll be very difficult for it to do in 1.0.3 since it's no longer there.

Nice, im afraid i just got the same crash AGAIN with the ABIEliteGuard number 10 in the ruins. Problem is, killall kinda takes the challenge away.

Yes it does!

Some of that I think is because they have trouble with the doors. But I'm not sure, it's pretty hard to track down.

So, what is it about your mod which makes this error appear? I've never seen it on deus ex? Is there something you've done differently maybe?

Well, the spiderbot is definitely the door there (however a bot using a door is a little more than silly).
Can somebody tell me how I can get a custom avatar?

I think the problem is just that our maps are more taxing on the ai pathfinding and the problem existed in the deus ex code but the maps avoided it (perhaps incidentally).

In any event it looks like I was misinterpreting the error message and I've already been able to concoct a working fix. It won't be pretty (I can't make the ai find a path) but at least it wont crash the game.

The thing i find interesting about this is that obviously not everyone has had the problems i've had, so maybe its something to do with how i play the game, which could help track down the problem

It really only has to do with (lack of) luck, that a NPC gets him/her/itself stuck somewhere. Obviously stealthy players are more prone to such crashes than violent players who make sure NPC X doesn't survive long enough to get stuck somewhere :P.

(on the other hand violence makes NPC's break their patrols and get in funky places they normally do not come, increasing crash chances again...)

exactly.

Also bug is fixed in 1.0.3 so don't be surprised if that robot ends up remaining.

Yay for not even more enemies dissapearing. It's getting lonely at ABI methinks.

I think it's the doggie's fault in my case. My save crashes immediately when I load it (no menu, no alt-tab, ctrl+alt+delete sometimes) and the last time I saved was just after I punched a dog in the face and made it run away.

I think there's a lesson for real life there.

Incidentally, did anyone else immediately think of The Simpsons when punching an animal in TNM?
Homer: "I'm just passionate, like all us Greeks."
Marge: "No, you're angry. Look, you're punching the cat right now!"
