Major Problem - Re-Install wont help!

Hey guys, my problem is as follows:

During a session of TNM, I cut the power of my PC, i start the PC again, it works just fine, but then I try to start TNM and as soon as I click on "Load Game" the game controll completely freeze. The Intro is playing but I cant do anything than to quit.

So I completely uninstalled DX and TNM and completely deleted the installation-folder, then I reinstalled DX, run it ( jerking around a bit on Liverty Islandd) and it runs perfectly fine.

Then I install The nameless Mod + patch v.1.0.2, run it.....and then the exact same f******** problem!

The only files I saved from the last Installation were the saves ( but only the saves: I copied them into another folder and then deleted the entire Installation folder ) but I hardly think the saves are responsible. But im not really well versed with programming.


So I beg you: Halp!

Oh yeah, there is also a error message reading something like:

General protection fault!

History: CheckTag <- ULinkerLoad::ULinkerLoad <- CheckTag<-....


etc. etc. and something of a "mainloop" at the end

If the saves were from a different patch than 1.02 then that's your problem . If that's the case do yourself a favour and patch with 1.03 after the 1.02 patch and start from the beginning. Patches corrupt saved games.

Sounds like your save file has been corrupted. I hope you save early and often?
The computer can do all sorts of crazy things to running programs and files if you cut the power =/

Crap! Your graphics card maybe on the fritz. The power thing might have damaged it. Sorry I should have read your entire post before replying. Ulinker errors can be graphics related I think.

Okay, I started a completely new game and it works apparantly,

but isnt there any possibilty of repairing my old saves? I dont want to have to start all over, man ;(

Don't think so and definately patch to 1.03 , it'll save more heartache later.
