2 questions about the bPainZone:

I have a WaterZoneInfo set up to do drowning damage to the player by setting bPainZone to true and DamagePerSec to 25 Drowning damage, so it will kill the player more quickly. The problem is that it only damages the player once, and judging from the property name its supposed to damage the player every second. I thought it had to do with the damage type, being a waterzone, so I changed it to Shot, but it still only damaged the player once. Anyone know whats going on?

Secondly, and it may be related, the manual says of it "This zone damages the player. NOTE: IF the DamagePerSec field is non-zero then the zone info can be triggered on and off to cause or stop pain." Does it mean trigger it in the script or trigger the tag of the zone info with a standard trigger? I'd test it, but I can't get it to continually damage the player.

I remember that problem from a bug in TNM, I think I fixed it in 1.0.3 by just disabling the damage on the zone and using a series of carefully aligned damagetriggers instead. That's the only fix that I know, sorry.

I have the EXACT same problem for a multiplayer map I designed. Think about it like a critical thinking the enemy is the map type of deal. There was a puzzle where one class of player could tank damage (as a tank class) or another could use tools to bypass a safer path (kind of like a covert class I guess?) and the type of damage he tanked through was swimming through damaging water and eating med-kits. Same symptom, would get injured once when entering the zone but that's it. Jonas, what map was that trick used in? Maybe I can open it up and look at it. If I read that right you put damage triggers in the whole water zone with a smaller radius for each one?

If any of you jokers are interested in checking this map out I'd be happy to host it and we can play through what I got. It is an interesting map I just kinda ran into a wall with it, so any input would be appreciated...

Oh yeah, is that the map where you said you blatantly copied my style and design? Which btw I still say is not copying, but creating continuity of quality in the mod. :P

Or is that the small sewer map I donated? Hell I don't remember anymore...

Okay neat'o, I will chikade'check it out for myself before I wreck myself. :P
