I was playing along with Redsun 2020 and in the area where the rooms with the TSPE pods are. In the offices there is two NPCs and a couple of cops around. I was turning on light switches but in real life if cops were in the building and lights were being turned on/off here and there, they would have a check to see why if there isn't many people working or in the building but this isn't the case in Deus Ex. One thing I would like to do, but not sure how, is create custom NPCs that respond to a light switch being turned on, if they are in the area they can see the light from the light switch, then they notice and come to investigate, only if an enemy of the player. like how they do when there is a noise, like from a crate being smashed in their nearby area.

I thought about doing it so when a lightswitch with a particular tag is turned on, then the NPC would be alerted to it, but then what if one light switch in an area with several light switches needed a different tag for whatever purpose?

Anyone know how I could do this?

Yeah, you could have the light switch trigger a dispatcher, which will a) trigger an orders trigger (or number of orders triggers) which will order the npc to "GoingTo" the tag of the lightswitch, b.) toggle the light, and c.) delay another orders trigger (or number of orders triggers) which will return the NPC to its original patrol.
