Post Keeping Decorations Rotated
I've rotated a trash can so it's lying on its side in the editor, but when I start the level it automatically reverts to standing up. Same thing happens to a small cardboard box I tried canting against a wall. Is there something else you need to change to keep actors rotated as they are in editor?

Have not tried it yet as I have no time, but if a decoration is on its side and you pick it up and throw it, would keeping the phys_none, when the decoration lands, will it be standing up or at its side? Been wanting to make a way to make sure all decorations that you can pick up and throw, if they are at an angle when you pick them up, they will land in the same angle when you drop them (Like a chair on its side usually lands upright when you throw it, even though you can see it being thrown sideways) but have not had time to try and fix that.

The moment you right click it, it reverts to phys_falling. Arguably, the original is destroyed, and one spawns in your "hands". It seems only the "inventory" category of objects can be thrown realistically (like spinning around in the air/landing on their side, etc)

Slightly OT but I seem to be having a problem the getting the prefabs from the "164 prefabs" zip file that you can download from I think Tack's Deus Ex Lab. I try opening up all the texture packets beforehand in Unreal Ed, but when I import the .t3ds I still get nothing. Anyone have this problem or know how where to get Deus Ex prefabs that work?

Strictly speaking, this is not the case. It's actually the original object, with some changes made to its appearance and physics.

Are you sure the builder brush is properly reset? Some of the prefabs will not load (there are actually 2 versions of the 747 and one will not load), and some will not load under certain conditions. See if they will load in a new map.

I knew I would get that wrong. [-(

Don't seem to load into a new map either. They do load if I go to "import brush", but then I don't get any of the textures.

some dont have textures, or if they do, you dont have the package it references.

None of the brushes load, even like street lights, which I know I have the textures for because I've extracted and created my own prefabs of them from the NYC level, and I can add them to other levels with textures no problem.

I just looked again, and the 4 prefabs on Tack's example prefabs actually work. The ones I'm talking about that don't work are the 164 prefabs you can grab here: http://www.planetdeusex.com/constructor/files.htm
