 Deus Ex Zodiac
I recently pulled Deus Ex ZODIAC out to play, and found that I forgot how to handle something. To get into the president's bunker, there's obviously a code/response thing, but everything I tried on the obvious path didn't work and I ended up hacking past that. Anyone remember what the proper things are to type at this point ("blue478","blue 478", ?) ?
Edit: Nevermind, I got it now.

If I could I would totally live in a fallout shelter. Hopefully they have static IP addresses.

 Re: Deus Ex Zodiac
Yep, in opening up a lot of these mods I haven't seen in a a while to record them, I find myself getting stuck in the same places as I originally did. Usually the ones that weren't documented well, like this, or codes that were never put into the game, like a couple of essential terminals in Holloman & the secret Page Biotech facility. When they were put out, there were web pages and forums that generally held this info upon searching for it, but now it's much harder. I may end up having to load each of the maps and search them to see if I missed any aug containers, weapon upgrades, or keys/keypad #'s for things I multitooled/lockpicked/blown through and record snippets on how to get to those.

 Re: Deus Ex Zodiac
Hehe, well, a mod's only as good as its beta testers I guess. FYI, I took the code and response directly from the movie Terminator 3. It's from the part where they're trying to get into the Cold War era bunker (which that part of the mission is inspired by for sure). And yeah, if anyone who knows me from "the old days" is wondering, I rarely participate in anything Deus Ex-related any more. In fairness though, the game is ALMOST 10 YEARS OLD. Let it go, people! Just kidding. It's cool that there's still a community after all of this time.

 Re: Deus Ex Zodiac
Did you ever get around to playing TNM? Because you shouldn't make me come over there and force you to play it.

 Re: Deus Ex Zodiac
I know you might get tired of hearing it, but thanks for all the work you put into the mod. It definitely has given me hours of entertainment in the past and definitely will in the future, too. If things go the way I hope, I'm sure I'll get hours with your "Tack's Lab" site, too, so thanks for that as well And the UNATCO troops screaming like WIB in Holloman are definitely funny, too, though I wouldn't have minded having that fixed (I remember the patch being posted somewhere) in time for recording ZODIAC. Thanks again!

 Re: Deus Ex Zodiac
I never did. I haven't done anything DX related in some time now. I'll fire it up one of these days. If my cameo made the cut, I need to at least try throwing a gas grenade at "myself" to see/hear what happens, hehe.

 Re: Deus Ex Zodiac
No, not really. Honestly, that's the first I've heard about that bug. Weird. Those beta testers... FAIL! (no, actually they did an awesome job - you can't catch everything). Anyway, thanks for the kind words!

 Re: Deus Ex Zodiac
Unless you get Dr. Dumb Lunatic to test it - he can catch everything. Well, damn near. But yeah... ZODIAC is still my favourite DX mod (not including TNM for obvious reasons). It's quite simply the mod that feels most Deus Ex

 Re: Deus Ex Zodiac
In retrospect, I should have gone even further with the "respect the original game" philosophy. A lot of the elements in ZODIAC were ripped from movies/TV shows that I enjoyed, but having so many overt references like that does stray from the feel of the original game. The Ghost in the Shell stuff, in particular, was a bit much. One element I was worried about was the talking blue alien. That fit with the idea of taking the "real" conspiracy theories about MJ-12 to its logical (and ludicrous) conclusion, but it's pretty damn silly. After I already had the talking alien stuff written out, DX2 came out, and as I recall, there was a sequence where you could have a conversation with a Grey. In Egypt even.

 Re: Deus Ex Zodiac
Seeing as how I have no where else to mention it, I may as well ask here.
I can't get it to launch. Whenever I use the shortcut it cannot find zodiac.exe, and whenever I screw around with the DX shortcut to figure out a way to sneak in via the zodiac ini file, it messes up too (the worst being a variety of insta-crashes, the best being a brand new DX with no saves and lots of lag). Any advise?
