IRT J (on TNM vs. DX):
There should be a "laughing so hard I'm crying" emoticon. Somebody get their ass on that.

IRT J (last):
Once again you embarrass yourself FAR beyond anything I could say.

Most probably this other project can be ignored, like my project to port Deus Ex to my 8086 calculator. Too bad.
Don't forget the Revision map mod. So it's like:

DX:RHDTPNVR
Deus Ex : RebornHighDefinitionTexturePackageNewVisionRevision

I came to the conclusion, it'll be called Deus Ex Version 2.0 instead of just 2.0. (acronym is DXv2). I made a small little affiliate logo and it looks alright, good enough to use on a site. I'm glad you guys see where I am coming from and as established we need to basically tag our work.

That's actually a pretty good idea, I don't have any HDTP or NV links on the DXR site and I should. I also like the idea of a portal site, however it can lie in wait until the community as a whole has some more downloadable content (hopefully in January, as you pointed out :) CAN'T WAIT! DXv2 is gonna be the uber uberness).

There's still the question of who will be adding the pron to DXv2. Maybe that's what DX:NewOrder can do.

A portal site is unlikely to be kept up-to-date, though it's an interesting idea. I'd prefer cross-linking, the shared mission statements, and an available combined-installer (a no hassle DX:Rebohaichdeeteapeevision installer for UT2004).

The pron is what Power & Love is for ;)

(Okay that was below the belt. Sorry about that.)

That is basically what I wanted to accomplish :D. So that we can release as one big update for the game rather than a set of module-mods that combine together to basically update the game anyway :D. DXv2 would do that if we could get all the teams prepared to compile their builds in one place.

You'll have to call it DXv2.5 because TNM is DXv2. Or more like Deus-Ex-only-it's-way-better-now-and-wow-the-guys-behind-it-must-be-real-geniuses-why-don't-we-give-them-all-jobs-right-now??

So yeah, I'm glad that's settled.

I vote we don't go with any idea Cyberpunk has for the community.
Just to be safe.

What kind of argument is "just to be safe"?

@ Jonas. TNM is DXv2.5 :P fool! don't undersell yourself lol.

Meanwhile if we ever get to play with UT3, we up it to DXv3 after that. This way we can basically just keep upgrading the game as the engines come in for as long as we want without having to resort to any further "sub brands".

See it is a good idea :P

Jonas, you need to get a job at Valve and move to my area. Then we could fight each other in a duel to the napkins.

Seattle? I'm most likely going to college there (University of Washington) and I'm planning on trying to get an intership with either Valve or Microsoft.
