The UMP in particular was from Nihilum, which in that mod was from 2027, which 2027 took from the original source: Counterstrike.
Nobody cares. As long as you give credit or don't take half of someone's mod and claim it as your own, or most importantly, don't try to sell it. To make a big ambitious mod non-profit it's almost a necessity to do a bit of borrowing here and there, as long as you don't go overboard.
As for hatchet, that mod is never going to see the light of day. The creator's latest news video revealed the time he spends on it, which is incompatible with the mod's creative vision.

Indeed, before anyone accuses anyone of anything, they should check the readme files first. ;]
At one point I did consider replacing the clyzm guns in DXN with these I got imported from a mod for Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II. But then I realized I'd have to fix a lot of other things as well - which I really don't have the time for - so I scratched that idea.
(Also, I had to bribe fender2k1 with a ham sandwich for all those UB materials)

And what about GMDX's code? Note that it's entirely different, except the variable name "bHasHelmet", which is entirely coincidental. It's hardly a unique variable declaration. How do you explain the meshes of NUKE and Worm viruses. They share the same texture as Minidisks in 2027. Also Smoke,Ecplosion and other effects are also taken from 2027

The smoke and one type of explosion effect are borrowed also. It's no secret, so there's nothing to confess.
If the 2027 developers have a problem with it they can get in contact with me personally and I'll have my artist create new ones or borrow those assets from elsewhere.
