Firing amp attack with the spy drone augmentation. Bug ?

Hi, I've finnished DX several times on my mac, a few years ago, and I remember being able to fire emp attack, just like the spiderbots, with the SpyDrone augmentation.
This quote from http://en.deusex.wikia.com/wiki/Augmentation#Cranial confirm that I'm not crazy:

The drone lasts for a fixed period of time, and can only fire a limited number of EMP attacks before "dying".

I've discuss this matter on the IRC chan you can access via NVShacker's computer in the game, and I'm not the only one who remember being able to do this.

So my question is:
-How do I do this in the PC version, and especially in TNM ?

It acts as an EMP grenade as an attack, or deactivation...

IMO it is not even worth thinking about, 'tis a useless aug, but if you like it then fine. Anyway I have no memory of it shooting an EMP attack like the Spiderbot, only an EMP attack like the EMP grenade, only weaker. (At lower levels anyway)

Yes, I know, there is also the explosion of the drone that cause the same "damages" as an emp grenade. But I'm talking about an electrical arc that cause emp damage over distance and that let you fire several times before the drone deactivates.
In my memory, it was bind like this:
-Fire:fire emp. (Left mouse)
-Activate: explode (rightmouse)
-F5: deactivate.

Um... I have never been aware of such functionality in Deus Ex. Drone is a useful aug however.

I can confirm this is indeed nothing that has ever been in the PC Deus ex code.

Are you sure you weren't using something like shifter, that changes core game code?

Nope. And I'm 'pretty' sure I haven't dreamed of all this.

I was wondering if maybe it was only in the multiplayer, but again, nope.

Is there anyone here that can attest that I'm not completly crazy ?

I've not heard of it shooting beams, ever. However in multiplayer aug tdm we love the spy drone as we quickly activate it and self destruct to create a quick McGuyver EMP explosion to negate opponent's and your own bio energy supply.
