New ENBSeries Release

Post by Zyme »

Not sure if this has been posted anywhere else, but I noticed a new version for the graphic mod was released a few days ago. http://boris-vorontsov.narod.ru/download_en.htm

They seem to lighten up on the bumpmapping on this version. I noticed the masked textures are fixed and unlit things don't use the bumpmapping such as a television. Also, the older version made the game dark, but this one seems to lighten it, so I just turned down my normal brightness from .60 to .40.

Whoa, sounds like they addressed some of the major issues.

It's pretty cool, but is there any way to tone down or get rid of these crazy reflections on some surfaces?

Seems to make bright wall textures too shiny and bright, maybe for next version, the render can detect if the texture is too bright already and tone down the brightness on them, but other than that it's pretty cool. ENBSeries looks really great with the New Vision textures.

I'd love to try but the site with the updated Direct3d Renderer you need is down :(

I expect the brightness is because the texture is white and enbseries is probably making that texture into a specular map, not really much he can do without toning down all the specular.

In the future all brick walls will be coated in transparent resin, just because.

It looks kind of like the stuff they use to refit unreinforced masonry for earthquake readiness.

To be fair, it IS a white paint-covered wall.

It's just clearly upgraded from 'matt emulsion' to 'OMG GLOSS emulsion'.
