nerdiest things ever

Post by that guy »

I was thinking about MC Hawking - Quake Master and realised that stephen hawking rapping about quake was possible the nerdiest thing ever. However I'm sure there are people who disagree. What do you think is the nerdiest thing ever.

People who check forums to see if something new happened to a video game that's 7 years old.

I think MC Hawking beats that.

People who are still modding Doom are pretty nerdy though.

Modding Doom into a Batman game is definitely up there...

I'm only here because I've spent 5? years working on a total conversion of the 7 years old game in question. Which in my opinion isn't nerdy at all.

How the hell is TNM a conversion?

No offense to Trestkon, but TNM is a mod that has been in development for so long that most of the players that were going to be featured in it are long gone.

"A total conversion is a mod of an existing game that (usually) replaces almost all of the artistic assets in the original game, and sometimes core aspects of gameplay, such as a First Person Shooter interface."

Now, since TNM does this exactly, that alone is enough to make it a total conversion.

And ironically, the mod is better for it. By now, it is actually populated with fictional characters rather than vague shadows of the online personas of real people.

As for the total conversion thing: What Fulgrymm said.
