Deus Ex: Human Revolution does not have enough votes!

Post by Jane_Denton »

So I'm all excited that Fallout New Vegas is getting made... however there just doesn't seem to be as much attention or buzz made about the new Deus Ex!!! Because I'm also excited about it coming out! There isn't enough buzz being made about DX3 by the creators of that game!

So there's a vote thingie.... I just thought we should put some votes in for Deus Ex 3 aka Deus Ex Human Revolution. Just because the creators are totally slack on creating buzz about their game.. unlike Fallout New Vegas... maybe we should create some buzz... http://e3.gamespot.com/readers-most-anticipated GO VOTE for Deus Ex so it'll have better numbers!

That's remarkable, since there is only one game I consider buying which is Crysis 2.

Well games that caught my eye on that list were;
Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep (I loved the other games dispite that fact the whole series is Final Fantasy + Disney Combo)
Star Wars: The Old Republic ('Cause I love KOTOR)
Lara Croft Guardian Of Light (I loved the Tomb Raider Series right from the start :P)
Little Big Planet
Deus Ex 3
And Star Wars: Force Unleashed II (Cause I enjoyed the first game)
:)
The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

Yeah but you're the most bitter and negative person here, narrowly beating out Jaedar for first place. So why should we care what you think?

Hell, you'll probably hate Crysis 2. And even if you don't, you'll probably still come here to criticise it.

Prove me wrong. Please.

Don't be insulting Jonas. I'm obviously more negative.

And, in the spirit of being a party pooper: You do realize that it's Gamespot right?

The only games that have a shot at winning are mainstream console shooters about spehhs mahreens.

Prove me wrong. Please. I could do with some more hope for the gaming industry.

I didn't like Crysis but I really like what they're saying about Crysis 2, so I'll see whether I like it.
As for the rest: I don't have a console, and I would never buy games like Gears of War. Not because I don't like them (I've played multiplayer with friends on their Xboxes and I think it's an enjoyable game), it's just because I'm not really into FPSs. I've never been a fan of Star Wars either, and I've never liked racing or sports games. So what's left? Deus Ex 3, Crysis 2 and some games I haven't heard of. I like strategy games, war simulation games like OFP (the first, not DR which was hardly simulation) and RPGs, but only RPGs which are really expansive/deep. Morrowind, Deus Ex, and Oblivion too, I could spend weeks thinking about what I was going to do next and about their game environments. It's been a while since I played any of those games, I should really try out Dragon Age and Risen.
This is not me being elitist, that's just the kind of game I like. I enjoyed Call of Duty 2 and FEARl, so I like FPSs, but I get bored with them relatively soon and don't feel the need to play a lot of them.

How did the first one play? I was thinking of buying it but BioShock 2 and ME 2 took away my attention...and gaming budget. :)

It was a enjoyable game for the most part.
Its one of the few games that are actually canon to the Star Wars Franchise. I don't even know if KoToR is Canon to it.
Anywho, I'm a huge Star wars fan so i had to give it ago.
I got it for PS2, and for the PS2 the graphics and effects were great. Story was great. Levels and such were great. Sound was good. Gameplay was good if not a little repetative at times. Actually, could get extremely repetative. Fighting Rancors was one of the most annoying parts;
-Run to resonable distance.
-Throw large object at it
-Repeat
-Get too close to Stupid Monster and get launched across map.
But generally, the combat system is good. Force Powers in this game are great fun. Throwing Stormtroops at any distance can be quite satisfing.

Not alot of Replayablity but quite alot of collectables (Saber Cystals and Jedi Holocrons and such).
Oh and No Multiplayer on PS2 version, but I think there is on the PSP and Wii version.
The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

Cheers, I'll be playing the PC version if I buy it. I think there were a few bugs and graphical issues on release to that port that will, hopefully, be ironed out by the time I get to buy it.

Just what I was about to ask.
Force Unleashed Requires a really high spec Machine to play it.
Alas, I wouldn't be able to run it, So I shall make do with the PS2 version. :)

Sorry, this will teach me to stay on topic. It's the Half Life2 Episode 1 and 2 etc that won't run on my PC (also part of the Orange Box). I haven't tried Portal on the new PC yet...apologies for the confusion.

Edit: Good God, I'm downloading Portal now with a speed of 20 kb/s....wtf Steam?
