Is my child's drawing good for their age?

Post by Jess55 »

DS is 4 (nearly 5) and he's always drawing. I obviously think they are brilliant but I'm his mum so I would. Just wondering if he's skilled for his age or if I'm seeing it through PFB lenses. I think I'm just amazed because I can't draw at all. Grin

I think he's perfect for his age. Most children can't even draw a two-dimensional caricature of the person, while your son has managed to draw a pretty good cat image. I love it! When my daughter was his age, she could only draw any creature with the help of circles and sticks. That didn't flatter me as a person who draws caricatures for many clients for over the world. However, she likes drawing too now, and he even visits the painting section at school. I hope your son gets progressively good at it and will become a famous artist!
