Warhead is pretty decent, I enjoyed it. At least play until the aliens (though frankly the final mission at the airstrip is very memorable too).

I wasn't a massive fan of the first game. I played it until the end simply to see it through.
Maybe if I get a spare moment after my exams, I'll give it a whirl just to see how it compares. I've never played the Multiplayer either, Crysis Wars. Is that any good?

I put a LAM on that heavy machinery, and another on a supporting beam near where you fight Simons. I heard the explosion as I was coming back from uploading the schematics. The result from Shifter:
minus 67 skill points. Harsh but fair, although I thought it clever at the time. :P

Just got done with a round of Redsun 2020. First time played with New Vision and HDTP (you know the public one, not anything new). It's funny to see how these maps really change. Especially a 60' tall version of Charie Fullman (or whatever name she is).
Usually every time I play this, too, I wish the author (or someone) would just do a big fix pack and fix all the bleeding obvious bugs this has (namely the proven show-stoppers along with the obvious dumb bugs that are all over the place like Aquagrill guy not paying me for doing his job when I get to see him later on in the game.

Well, I got to the character creation page of Fallout 3 before it crashed on me.

Played through the first few levels of Legend of Grimrock, that Gelo gave me for my birthday (because he's a bro). I like it :)

I really hope there are more varied environments than just this one kind of dungeon though, or I can see myself getting pretty damn tired of looking at those walls.

I think there are multiple tilesets. Admittedly probably all shades of "OMG DUNGEON WALL", but at least they'll be different dungeon walls.

I haven't tried it, mind. I think I'd probably get lost, panic flee into a wall repeatedly, and then die, all within ten minutes.

I think one of the mods fixes a lot of bugs... FOOK or somesuch. I can't link you to the Fallout Nexus, or find the correct one, coz I've been slowed to a crawl on the internet for going over my bandwidth limit.

I can't remember it that well because it's been about 5 years since I've played it, but when I did a rewrite of all the speech in the game I did fix the annoying bug/ommision where the guy you meet before the aquagrill area doesn't tell you that he's given you something. I remember being stuck there for ages because I had no idea what to do.

There are 3 tilesets in the game. Nice wall, detailed wall and spoiler wall. So yeah, you're going to be looking at the walls for a while.

I finished the game a few days ago. Found about half the secrets or so. It's a cool game, with some interesting puzzles and exploration buuuuuuuut the combat gets very repetetive after a while, since all you do is circlestrafe around the enemies while unleashing all attacks as soon as possible. I didn't really get tired of the walls, but I also did not look them over very carefully, which is probably why I missed so many secrets.

Impossible, the game has an automap ;)

Essentially, you did an unofficial patch? :P
Do you still have said fixes?

@bobby Cheers pal. I'll Google it.

Unless you play on hard core ;)

But then you brought it on yourself.

It was half-official I guess because I got the files off one of the developers. I remember somehow a TNM file got sent to me as well. Unfortunately I lost it in a format, though since I heard a while back (from DDL I think) that there are some decompiler tools that can rebuild conversation editor files, I have been tempted to redo it. I fixed quite a lot of stuff on it if I recall, including rewriting the ending so it's not fucking stupid and actually makes sense.

I think if I were to do it again though I'd fix some of the e-mails/notes and get some help from the community. I'm no good at writing the silly incidental conversations you overhear as you walk past people.

Oh, that's a shame. Still pretty cool that you did that though.
Yeah, I do remember the ending being completely messed up and making no sense.
