Deus Ex with the lights turned out...

Hey has anyone played Deus Ex with Dynamic Lighting turned off..?

Go into the Defualt.ini and change

NoLighting= False

to

NoLighting= True
The game now resembles graphics similar to Theif1... It looks hella funny, it plays like a whole new game!!

I had NoLighting=False (GOTY). Setting it true....so bright.....It does look like a number of old games. It really highlights the crappy textures...Suddenly there's no water and sky. Levels like the Paris Streets look terrible, I'm sure Hong Kong is similar (seeing all of those far away buildings).

Seeing Deus Ex in the daylight, something that was never anticipated by the designers.

From another thread, I got the impression that Placebo is somewhat young, or speaks another language natively. Sarcasm always seems to take some extra time to catch when you're already working out the literal translation. "uber" being German ("above", "superior in relation to") could have left the impression of a term like "cvar", where it's been absorbed into English somewhat.

Don't worry about it, I'm sure everyone sees that one time in their lives and gets fooled...I could probably remember some NES cheat that got me excited (for younger kids it could be "Mortal Kombat Nudalities", for me it's SMB1 secret levels and getting the score on Donkey Kong or Mousetrap to roll over. can't think of false codes). Cool graphic to use as a sig in any case.

My favorite one is... in Day of Defeat... tell people that they can get the sniper rifle if they go to consol and enter "gg sniper"... or an extra grenade via "gg grenade"

Also I noticed the UBER word, but i didn't actually try and insert the line in Direct3D or OpenGL section or where it allegedly belonged
