Well I am trying to learn 3ds max now, I think I will be fine as long as I do not make a tree that is bigger than the statue of liberty
Hmm, I really wish I had a signature...

Re: Metche Steel
Eh, I've beaten the game at least 25 times and I'm still patiently waiting for the pack. Complete or not, I'm looking forward to going through the game a 26th time with it installed. I've been following the project since the beginning, checking the site at least twice a week since it started to see if there's any news. I wish I could have helped out with content but I'm not a 2D artist and the basic 3D models I might have been able to do had already been done. The best I could do is put a link to HDTP in my sig on every forum I'm a member of, as well as mentioning it whenever somebody brings Deus Ex into a discussion.r00tb33r wrote:I wonder the same thing... Sure this stuff is cool, but I still think it would be difficult to reignite the interest in someone who has completed the game ~20 times considering the fact that the overhaul is not complete.chris the cynic wrote:The thing is not damned by god, it is, if anything, blessed. How else do you explain how it managed to keep such talented people doing a job with so little thanks for so long?
Of course, I suppose I could just be drawn here by my e-crush on Metche and not out of a genuine interest in the project... ¬_¬

Traditionally red is the color of choice for words of warning so I'll go with that.

Please, please, PLEASE, all you "OMG IS UR MOD DED" people: try and understand that SLOW does not equal STOP.
I have a (more than) full time job. Metche has a full time job. Pretty much everyone involved is either in full time work or fulltime study. Finding time to do this stuff at all is not easy. About the last thing I want to do after finally getting home in the evening is spend four hours arguing with DX's shitty mesh import format (sadly, I usually go for 'drink beer, sleep'). I can't imagine I'm the only person on the team that feels that way, either. And yet, we're still here, chugging away. Just slowly.
But hey, if anyone with a biochemistry PhD and training in northern blotting wants to come up to manchester and do all my radioactive work for a month or two, I'm sure that would help.

Actually I know a girl that can do the trick, but I think she got stuck in Paris for a while
Let's consider kidnapping her and posting her to Manchester, folks. Who's in?
