aha! a Linux user! then we'll put the installer in source format so you have to compile the actual installer yourself, and just to throw a wrench into it, we won't supply a makefile! and we'll make it somehow incompatible with gcc so you'll have to buy a proprietary compiler to do it at all! AAHHAHAHAHHAHAH!!n0dalus wrote:Yes I think it would be good to have a non-.exe package for Linux users too
j/k- of course we'll have a non-installer version. it'd probably be an even better idea not to release an installer at all- to teach you windoze users a lesson in how hard it is to install software in UNIX. besides- we're lazy.
p.s. couldn't you use Cedega to run the installer, since you use it to run DX anyways?
How about we send you a virus to teach you how much of a fucking pain in the arse Windows can be when it crashes every 10 minutes? Does that seem like a good idea to you?tomato wrote:it'd probably be an even better idea not to release an installer at all- to teach you windoze users a lesson in how hard it is to install software in UNIX

well it's interesting you should say that.
If we build it as a standard GNU diff format, which stores the difference between two files (or groups of files), then we can build an installer for each operating system that can install it.
The diff format is comptable with programs on windows, macs and linux.
