Hello -new guy
Hello,
just wondered if you guys needed any help, I've had a look and printed out the texture list. Some of the textures which, looking at the forum, people have already started work on are not crossed out on the list. Is this the definitive list?
I've done a little bit before:

If someone just tosses me a texture or two to get started, that would be fantastic!
Cheers
Pete

Hi they Chewie! (Can I call ya Chewie? )
I've checked out your site and im very impressed! If you are cool with photoshop (and it certainly seems like you are from what I gather) then we would be thrilled to have you aboard.
Basically id advise you to ignore the texture list (yes ...going against my own principles) and start work on some of the object model textures. You can find the object model texture list here - http://offtopicproductions.com/DXReTex/ [click on the Modelslist.htm]
Then post in this thread here - http://offtopicproductions.com/phpBB2/v ... .php?t=134 saying which texture you will be working on
Please feel free to email me as id love to chat to you futher
Metche.

Hi there
Basically when texturing - http://offtopicproductions.com/phpBB2/v ... c.php?t=54 check this out first.
Ive checked the list and plant1 has not been remodelled by the 3d guys yet. How can you tell? No artist has signed his name down and there is no file in the DECO MODEL directory of the upload manager (where you find all the completed 3d models and their PCX/BMP files which are zipped).
I would suggest you look in the DECO MODEL directory - here are the current new textures that need looking at:
PAN1
PAN2
PAN3
VASE1
Hope that helps.
Metche.
p.s. Yes - your assumptions on how to texture are indeed correct

I extract the models and textures using Tack's Extractor but that doesn't extract in to .3ds as fair as I know. http://www.planetdeusex.com/tack/TacksD ... hTool.html
WOTgreal is an editing tool for the Unreal engine which can do the same, but extracts in .3ds (I think).
You will need the game installed to access the required files.
If you have trouble with any of this, then I could always email you a model.

I'd have to agree with that. Doesn't really look like rust to me, just random cooking-related wear and tear
