Greasel Description ...something to use...
Reading the famous nuwen DX Bible I came across a rather useful description of a Greasel that we should use imo when putting our HDTP version together -
---------------------------------------
Family Discovers New Species
New World Press - New York
The Caruthers family was enjoying a pleasant walk down a stretch of unremarkable
SoCal beach when they encountered what may be a most remarkable scientific
discovery.
"It was my wife who spotted it first", said Dane Caruthers. "At first we
thought it was a lizard that'd drowned and washed ashore, but it was too
big - it had this gigantic head and feathers on its arms, but it didn't look
like any bird I'd ever seen. Then I thought it might be like one of those
prehistoric fish that everyone thought was extinct, so I decided to call
someone."
The strange carcass eventually found its way to the Biology Depatment of the
University of California, Los Angeles, where it was examined by Dr. Trey
Hermann. "A preliminary study indicates that it doesn't really fit any of
our current taxonomies", Dr. Hermann said. "It seems to have certain
superficial characteristics of a seagull, but with a considerable number of
other, more reptilian traits."
The Caruthers family seemed to take it all in stride. "Though I have to
admit I was a little excited when Dr. Hermann said they might name it after
us", said Mr. Caruthers.
----------------------------------
Absolutely fascinating! I didnt realise they had feathers - I thought they were bald like a plucked chicken. We must look out for more little details like this because they will make all the difference.

Really? It has feathers?
I believe somewhere in-game there is a datacube to be found with an image of a greasel. I think it was right after you wake up in your cell and are helped out by Deadelus, the lab there. Maybe it helps HDTP?
Edit: I had some savegames lying around and remembered the code to the nuclear room in Paris.
Killed one of them bastards, and had some Photoshop filters applied to enhance contrast:
Apparently, it DOES have feathers

IMAO the datacube is located in the medical center where you can get some augs with two MIBs and poopy scientists. you can also release the karks from their cage from there for some messy action.
btw... i never found an images/datacube for karkians... have i missed it or does it not exist? i always like karks much more than greasels... they are meaner

Doesn't exist for karks.

Are any of you aware of the existence of this page?

In particular, you may find these two images interesting:

Cool... so why the big fuss over that newspaper? All it does is explain how the greasel looks. Which should be rather clear from the concept image? Just... seems a little odd you'd be so surprised to find the damn things has feathers if you've all seen those concept drawings. But hey, no problem.Dragon wrote:sure we know those... who doesn't

Did you notice that there's no major differences between the concept art and the actual greasel model and skin? And I know if wasn't you who made a fuss, but it was you who said everybody knew of these concept images, and obviously that is not the case when people can be surprised that the greasels have feathers.

that's true. didn't think about that kind of people.
what i refer to exactly is this datacube image of the greasel you can find in the MJ-12 lab somewhere. if contains a half-cut view with ( if i remeber correctly ) the left sinde beeing a more medical picture with labels and the right beeing the skinned greasel. it has some infos on them about their toxin and things like that.
hence i wanted to point out that this datacube holds some informations you can not find in the concept art and that could be perhaps interesting to the project.
