JC Wallpaper.

Post by _Alex_ »

Whipped something up for ya guys. It's in the flavor of the DX cover art, using the new model.

Ooh! How about making it in several resolutions (traditional 4:3, 16:9, and 16:10), and then we can offer it as a community download!

If that's too much work, do you think you could make one for 1280x800 please? :D

The background looks a bit odd... not to mention that you can still see that it's a model. I would've re-rendered JC with the new Shaders that is currently on the Front page, then stuck it on a VERY high resolution photo of the NY skyline. and not over blow on the lighting (This isn't oblivion, there is no need for BLOOMAGE!)

I think you did well though, but we can work on it :D

(This image to be done, and done as high a quality as possible. - we need some promo gear to distribute and I had the idea to do this AGES ago.)

I'm personally having trouble with the beam of light, its hard to get that wash out look without OVER washing JC - and looking shit. If I had a good render, i'd make one myself :D

The glints, they move depending on how you've moved the model, which I think is freaking awesome. Whereas the model _alex_ uses has painted on glints.

It looks like a different version of the model and in my opinion, look Much real from further away. thats why a Large res render of this would be AWSOME.

Oh I see what you mean. Well I expect Alex used reflections (enviroment map or raytraced) or high specular for the wallpaper so they show up where the light is coming from, which is from above.

I've downloaded it!

How about sticking it on a tshirt? Would we get away with it without getting our asses sued by Eidos?

If you remove the Deus Ex logo, there is NO Eidos content at all showed, so I wouldn't know why you wouldn't :)

Hey, that's very nice Alex!

The default ubb smile emote is rubbish, otherwise I would have used it.
