I was kinda surprised at first that the blade looks exactly the same. I dunno how you could change the blade anyway, I was just expecting something different because it's a new model.  I really like the details in the handle and hand, though!

It looks a bit different, more katana-ish, instead of generic one handed sword with blue glow. But it's AWESOME
Can't wait to slice up Gunther with that ... Hmm, he'd blow up in my face ... well anyway ...

It looks very cool  I always feel really beardy using it because it's so good, especially with melee mods!

I'm intrigued as to what exactly all you 'blade detractors' actually think a 'dynamically forged non-eutactic solid' should look like.
Given that we're in total fantasyland here, I'm gonna go with tradition, and reckon it'd be fuzzy. And blue.
Thus, I fail to see the problem.

Not like its made out of Ice/Gass. Thats what I think.. but then what would I know I'm not an industrial designer.

I'd prefer more detail in the fluid-like movements on the outside of the blade, really. Make it more dynamic, less finite. Slightly curvy (and I mean along the blade's edge, not curved as a whole like a scimitar).
