Re: New Vision Beta - Bug Reports
Bloody Deus Ex mappers. Another one of those things that probably didn't notice with their low-res textures but with these ones is really obvious. Damn them.

Re: New Vision Beta - Bug Reports
I've probably found another potential bug/overlook. These two Parisian posters look the same as before:

Re: New Vision Beta - Bug Reports
FYI, New Vision is only about 65% done. So yes, quite a lot of textures will look the same as before, that's not a bug.

Re: New Vision Beta - Bug Reports
Ok, good to know. I just post certain odd textures I spot as I go through the game in case there is any kind of bug. I guess I'll leave out any textures that are the same as the old ones.

This one is just right in Liberty Island, near the beginning. Don't know if this relates to New Vision or not, I don't know if you retextured any small objects. This I just think looks a little jarring. This as well.

Re: New Vision Beta - Bug Reports
sorry I just want to answer this one 1) In my opinion theres nothing wrong in that picture. The mapper just builded 2 metal boxes that are just close to each other besides, that doesnt have anything to do with New Vision, remember, it only changes WORLD textures, not the "errors" made by the mappers. 2) As I said, New Vision changes world textures. Not models. So wait for HDTP to get models and stuff in high quality 3) 3rd time when I say this, not New Visions deal, you can fix that by either changing the render(which I surely recommend) and lowering the brightness. 4) Change the render and it will look good.

Re: New Vision Beta - Bug Reports
Ok almost all of those are pitch black on my monitor.
1)Just original texture use. 2)That's HDTP, New Vision is world textures only 3)Not sure what's being pointed out here, the noticeable tiling? 4)I can't make out what you're trying to show, even brightening it in Photoshop

Re: New Vision Beta - Bug Reports
It isn't even HDTP, that's the original 30.06 model.

Re: New Vision Beta - Bug Reports
I mean that's HDTP's job to do, not ours

Re: New Vision Beta - Bug Reports
It looks fantastic, I must say. A couple things to point out, though. In Tracer Tong's lab, some of the monitors seem to have backwards text. In the Canal Road Tunnel, the lights seem to be trying to tile vertically, which has the effect of the very top ~2% showing a second time. On another note, it seems Paul has discovered anti-gravity. It looks fantastic so far, though. Great work. I've also gotten it to work on my Mac, using a semi-illicit Cider port, if anyone's interested.

Re: New Vision Beta - Bug Reports
All of those are more likely the mappers fault. The light peeking from the bottom could be the texture, but I am sure Dave came as close as he could to where the light is at on the texture. Also, it's common sense that textures do not affect paul. That's just normal bugged DX.

I wasn't sure about the textures. But I know about the Paul thing. Just made me laugh.

Re: New Vision Beta - Bug Reports
Always weird when DX characters mime sitting. I think the text problem almost is NV's "fault" in that the old textures were almost certainly backward too, but no one could tell since the text would be illegible backwards and forwards. NV sure points out how crap DX was. Not sure how easy it would be to fix the map, but that's outside NV, and it would require a larger download by distributing DX map assets. If those screens aren't anywhere else, which are unlikely, the texture could be flipped.

Re: New Vision Beta - Bug Reports
Yeah, it's just a problem of high-resolution text. Just wouldn't have noticed on the lower-resolution.
I think the new textures do cause some alignment problems, but a lot are probably caused by mapping just with low-res. The pixels were far blurrier and it just didn't show.
