 Game crashes.
Not sure what the problem is but when I open TNM the main window begins to open fine. It opens into a window similar to the Deus Ex window for the exception of its not in full screen mode. I am not 10% sure how to change the screen size but the more important problem is as soon as I click new game and click "yes" to the training session, the game stops responding and eventually crashes, no errors just a crash. I initially installed the mod with shifter installed but then reinstalled Deus Ex to remove shifter.
Can anyone help?

 Re: Game crashes.
Hi, welcome to the forums. After reinstalling Deus Ex did you play at least the training mission in Deus EX before playing TNM?

 Re: Game crashes.
No I figured I was only supposed to run Deus Ex to pick the video support, I'll try that now >.>. Heh thanks for the welcome.

 Re: Game crashes.
Oy... now the game doesn't even open correctly. It does the same small window thing except for instead of seeing title screen I see a white and black box shifting around the screen. The sound apparently works but after a few seconds I get an error that says "General protection failure! History: URender::DrawFrame< -" over and over again. Any suggestions?

 Re: Game crashes.
Crap! Try changing your renderer if you haven't already.

 Re: Game crashes.
Just tried it, no luck, only now opening regular Deus Ex it runs all slow and glitchy.

 Re: Game crashes.
Maybe the reinstall has got some corrupted files. However someone more qualified than I may be along shortly to solve this for you. Edit: have you a single or multi processor system? Sometimes weird stuff happens on multicore as the game runs too fast.

 Re: Game crashes.
Did you ensure that all of the files in your DeusEx folder were gone when you uninstalled the game before reinstalling it?
How are you changing your renderer, and what are you changing it to?
How are you launching TNM?

 Re: Game crashes.
Yes all the files were gone, I was changing the renderer by opening Deus Ex in safemode like game says to, and I am launching TNM by clicking The Nameless Mod shortcut that appeared on my desktop.

 Re: Game crashes.
All right, try instead changing the renderer by editing the ini like it says in the Troubleshooting section of the TNM manual. Let us know if that does anything.

 Re: Game crashes.
Thanks for the help, game is running smooth as glass now. The problem was a little bit of both for some strange reason. The game wouldn't start up because for some strange reason some of my Deus Ex files were corrupted so I had to delete and reinstall because reinstalling it without deleting it wouldn't work for some stupid reason, and then I just changed the renderer the way you guys told me and it started right up. I'm loving this mod so far, its a breathe of fresh air to an amazing game.

 Re: Game crashes.
Yeah I was hoping so too but now it seems I'm having sound effects problems. The music plays fine but the sound is all crackly. I have tried changing the sound settings and restarting my computer several times. I have also attempted to change boot order and it did nothing. Any suggestions on that fix?

 Re: Game crashes.
Do you get a 'sound dump error' with that? I upgraded my sound card drivers and restarting the 'puter does solve the crackling for me.
