x-mas is only few weeks away, any news from new vision?
Bravery is not a function of firepower. My "Deus Ex - Conspiracy" run on emulator

JC Denton: Neither did I.

Unfortunately due to University raping my free time, probably no release this year. Textures are, however, filtering in from the lovely Fred (of former HDTP fame ) and HP, both of which are looking fantastic.
My Uni work will be finished by early January meaning I can probably wrap up a release for February sometime.

Well, the beta does improve quite a few things. Combined with my spending a hour or so going through all of the OpenGL preferences my DX looks rather good now. I just wish I knew how to hack in and fix the alpha channel on the UNATCO sign ^^

It is a nice project, it would be sad if it's released that late.
DX-III will likely wake a lot of fans up but it's imho very unlikely that it will increase the interested in DX-I
The best moment would be now or within the next few weeks, people are interested in the new DX release.
Many previews come up and updates week by week, this is the time people google for DeusEx prequels and have a good chance to find the mods and upgrades for DX-1
It should be released soon, people should have time to play it.
Once they have their hands on DX3 the interest in continuing a DX1 "upgrade" will be low.
